Our college is situated in Dingle, a small community about 110 km north of Gothenburg, along the motorway E6 on the west coast of Sweden.

 

Upper secondary education:

We offer a three-year upper secondary land-based education.

Number of students: About 300

Profiles: Animal care, Care of horses/equine studies, Agriculture, Horticulture.

The education given on campus is theoretical as well as practical. Full education on upper secondary level: 2500 points.

 

Adult education:

We organize adult education as follows:

KY (Qualified vocational education)

Green keeping/Golf course maintenance: 50 points

Construction and management of outdoor environment: 60 points

Basic education in agriculture-20 weeks' part-time studies and distance tuition

Horse-keeping/equine studies-40 week's part-time studies and distance tuition

 

Short courses:

We organize short courses as follows:

Pruning, Flower binding, Stone paving and tiling, Christmas decorations, Chain saw and cleaning (of trees), Cross-cutting and timber scaling/wood measurement, Horse feeding, Horse anatomy, Horse-driving (sport), Horse massage, Horse management diploma.

 

Management facilities:

Educational farming: 225 field hectares, 150 of them cultivated ecologically (according to "KRAV"). Our college owns 100 hectares of woodland. In the modern cattle unit ther is room for 70 milk-cows, milked by a modern automatic milking robot. In addition there is a minor stock of 25 sows for piglet production and also a small herd of sheep.

On 600 sq.m. in greenhouses and on outdoor cultivation we grow vegetables, tomatoes, cucumbers, cutting flowers, ornamental plants and pot plants.

We have a stable for 27 horses and also a summer stable (stable for horses during the summer), indoor arena and outdoor riding- and driving tracks.

There is space for keeping of common pets, minipigs and birds. We have aquariums for tropical fish and terrariums for snakes, lizards and frogs.

 

Accomodation:

Our college is a boarding school with several houses where there is room for about 200 students. It is possible to have a single room or a two-bed room. Some of the rooms even allow you to keep pet companions (dogs, rabbits, rats, mice etc.)

 

Rural development:

Our college is responsible for many EU-projects with the intention of developing rural areas.
