Secondary School Sötåsen is located just outside Töreboda in Sweden. We currently have approximately 260 students who combine their secondary education with a strong interest in animals, nature, environment and technology.
We are an open, welcoming and quality-oriented school with student learning and personal development at the center.
Our students get the keys to become future entrepreneurs.
Natural Resource Use Programmers
In teaching we alternate theory with practice. You are given ample freedom to choose courses within our specializations Agriculture and Animals. Those who wish can choose courses to university studies or science skills to postgraduate courses.
Our main purpose in school agriculture is to give our students theory and practice in their training. By working this way, students can learn how it works on a farm, both theoretically and practically.
The school's agriculture includes crop production, livestock production (pet & farm animals) and forest production.
The school's animal house
At the school's animal house, you will be involved in the care of animals.
You will also receive training on the handling of animals and even plan aquariums, terrariums and purchase of additional animals. Much of the theory of teaching is based in Animal House. In this way, we can easily combine theory with practice in teaching.
In our animal house, there are birds, rodents, lagomorphs, reptiles, amphibians, fish and arthropods.
Today we have a well-functioning international exchange with other schools in France, Finland and Latvia.
Our students find it very exciting to do an internship in another country.
Every year we make a study trip to London for our English learners to discover the language and culture in place.
